 As the city historian, most will say Siorys is more concerned with preserving his status than he is with the city's history. His well-bred stature is known throughout Windsinger's Haven (mostly because he talks about it any chance he can get), and this pompous behavior keeps him invited to high society events and rejected from any friendly social circles. The Pearlcatcher is quite fine with this, as he exaggerates his own importance and is ignorant to how others truly feel about him. In fact, he's probably the only uniting force between Peos and Alsa -- both find him ignorant and self-centered. Still, his services are needed by the city, and he is well-paid for his job. His organization rivals that of Ace (though it would never overtake in that race), and he often hires unpaid employees under the guise of an "exceptional and prestigious internship" to do his work for him. All his historic texts, paintings, and scrolls are located in the city's museum which has a special section just for his work. However, Siorys often complains that the admission price is much too low. Siorys' pretentious nature keeps his documents well out of reach from those he considers "lesser". In particular, librarians named Ace. These two have been feuding with each other since they met -- Ace cannot stand being denied scrolls, and Siorys feel "positively queasy" at the idea of commoner dragons running their claws through his sacred texts. The pearlcatcher is currently attempting his way through the twisty paths of love, though he's really only looking for highbred pearlcatchers to interact with. Those who don't find him immediately insufferable will eventually leave when they realize his rank of high-society is more of a farce than it is a truth.
