Beltran was abandoned by his clan when he was only a hatchling. He can remember the desperation he felt watching his clan, his family, everyone leave him behind. A concerned Snapper found him, and led him to Teres Obfucia. Teiru and her clanmates gladly accepted him into the clan. To this day, he holds a very high regard for Cherrycrumble, seeing her as a bit of a mother figure still.

Once a warrior for the clan, Beltran injured his hind legs, and it's difficult for him to stand for too long. He is seen as a hero in the clan, often praised, and doesn't have a set job anymore. He and his familiar are often seen lounging about, or attempting to help Cherrycrumble with the hatchlings of the clan. The Guardian no longer resembles the ruthless warrior he once was. He tells hatchlings of his former conquests, although they never believe him.
