The Arcane Painter
"Would you like to paint with me?"
Inkwell is the favorite son of the Fae Kingdoms famously powerful Althea. His family is widely respected not just within the clan but across Sornieth for their magical ability and tendency to receive visions of the past, future, and current events happening across the world. Inkwell is no exception to his family's reputation, although he didn't start out that way.
When inkwells siblings hatched, his egg remained silent and unmoving. In a panic, his mother tore his egg open to find her still hatchling. He was weak, and ill, and not long for this world. However, Althea's abilities are closely tied to her emotions and in a fit of agonizing grief, she restored the young fae, curing his ailments but simultaneously clouding his eyes with the family's curse of visions. In addition to this,Althea's powers are infamously unpredictable and as an unintended consequence, Inkwell's body became unable to age, effectively gaining immortality.
Now Inkwell spends his time painting and residing within his mother's magical Grove for protection. Though they don't have a very close relationship, as she is often stuck in her own thoughts and Inkwell paints to the degree of obsession. They live peacefully enthralled in their own obsessions. Inkwell is rumored to be able to paint fantastical prophecies of the future, and if you can convince him to show you his work, you may just find some important information.
