Before the Nightmares Notebook.
Dreams 1: Hello Dave, my love.

You came to me on a cold, lonely night around 11 PM. My mother's boyfriend was there, and he was awake when I fell asleep. Sometimes, my mind always races when I'm asleep, and the voices annoy me, but I can never make out what they're saying. But you, you were different. I fell asleep and you started having a conversation with me, which made them worried about me. You even told me a joke, and I laughed out loud. Your joke.. was funny, I will admit it. But that wasn't the only dream you gave me that night.
You came to visit me in my dream after talking to me. I was sweeping the floor, and somebody knocked on the door. Weird features, such as brown, messy hair, and weird-crazy-looking eyes. I went to go tell my mother if she knew who he was, but she told me she didn't. That made him mad, and he pulled out a knife and ended up killing my mother. I don't remember what happened to me, but he didn't kill me. He dropped me off by a lake, far away, I thought he tried drowning me. But, I found other people who also met this guy, and they tried to help me get back home. After they brought me back home, apparently my mom never did die, and my mom was mad at me for being missing for a few days. I looked behind me to point to my friends who helped me get back home, but they were nightmares now. I turned back around and turned around to face them again, but this time, they were fully gone. Then, this was when you came in, D.M. You kept repeating the same sentence until I woke up.
Your own mind is making you depressed.
After I told my mother about the dream I had, weird stuff started happening. We heard the cabinet doors slam, and I heard someone snapping their fingers behind my head. I decided to tell my old best friend about what happened, and out of nowhere, my laptop shut down. It was fully charged and it wasn't overheating. Was that you?

In that very week, I learned that you didn't like people listening in on our conversations, but you took it a little too far in my opinion. After I told my friend what you've been doing, you've tortured me. The racing thoughts were going so fast, and so loud, that it was annoying, I couldn't even fall asleep. But then, I would like to say that I fell into a state of paralysis. My eyes were closed and I was half awake, and my whole body just went numb. It felt like someone was pinning me down, I tried so hard to get out of that paralysis. It felt like death wrapped its cold hands around me.

In the next nightmare, you saved me. I don't know why, but my boyfriend in the dream was a pedophile, Stockholm syndrome got the better of me, and I chose him over my mother for some reason. He was really abusive, and after my mom left, I went into his room. A few moments later, he came in with a knife, and he tried stabbing me. I will admit, I took the knife from him, and started stabbing him to death. I stabbed him in the head about 10 times. I don't think I'd ever do this in real life, though. Everything seemed so real. He tried pushing me off and throwing things at me, but that didn't stop me from killing him in the end. After killing him, I ran away. But then, I saw you in the distance, we weren't really on good terms since it was hard to trust someone after a traumatic experience. I tried attacking you, but, you ended up winning. You didn't kill me after that, I wonder why sometimes. Then, that's when you saved me from that nightmare. You threw me over your shoulder and walked away with me. Everything went dark after that, but I could feel your smile through a dream.

His ... told me to stay away from him, for my own safety in this dream. But I could feel his eyes on me, he was looking at me. I was moving out in this dream, and I was packing up my stuff. I knew I only had a limited amount of time before the new owners of the house would come here. I heard banging on the front door, so I unlocked the door, and climbed out the window. So, a few hours later, I made a friend help me get the rest of my stuff back. She distracted D.M while I grabbed the rest of my stuff. But before I got my stuff back, she pointed at him, made a heart with her hands, and pointed at me. Darn her. After I got the rest of my stuff, she walked away with me to my new house, and she technically told me that he had a crush on me. I don't remember the rest, but I hope it was wonderful.

In the next dream, you kind of affected me in real life. I was looking at a map, that had the usual "go up," "turn right," "go down," kind of stuff on it. And I decided to follow it. It took me to a little hatch in the middle of the forest, so I opened it, and I ended up falling down it. You were down there with me, and you didn't even try hurting me or killing me. You took my hand, and it was cold at first, but then we started waltzing around. With every step, I just felt warmer and warmer. I still remember the song we waltzed to because you specifically chose my favorite song at the time.

In a dream where he talked to me, he made me Google something, only to find out that he was telling the truth. He was having a conversation with me, and I told him that I wasn't good in social situations, and he basically told me, "same". So, I Googled it, and apparently, he has ASPD. It's okay though, we can be anxious together.
