GingerSnap

A scholar from afar, GingerSnap left her home in the Crystalspine Reaches to travel abroad, studiously taking notes and mapping the lesser-known corners of Sornieth. One evening, as she was heading back for a camp she'd set up in the Windswept Plateau, a sudden updraft caught her wing and whipped her towards the Twisting Crescendo.
Terrified, the young dragon fought to free herself from the storm, but the winds were too powerful and before she knew it, she felt the pressure of the opposing winds sucking the air from her lungs, and her vision began to darken.

Her memory after that was a blur. She vaguely remembered being thrown from the winding clouds, so far above the land that only sky stretched in every direction as her wings weakly caught the air. For a time she simply glided downwards, drifting on the breeze as she slowly came to terms with what had happened. She was utterly exhausted by the time the thick clouds below began to part and she saw the snowy landscape below.

GingerSnap corrected course and headed down towards the icy land, ultimately crashing into the scrubland of the Snowsquall Tundra. For a while she simply lay on the ground, too exhausted to stand, her eyes heavy as she barly hung to consciousness.

"...are they dead?"

"Cant be, they're definitely breathing but they look rough."

"OH, they're stirring!"

GingerSnap weakly opened her eyes to the bright sun, snowflakes drifting down gently as two dragons stood over her with worried expressions on their four faces.

"I... where am I?"
GingerSnap tried to stand despite the soreness of her body.

"Easy, you look like you've had a rough night."
Eve reached out gently as CopperLeif looked the unfamiliar pair over.
"We're here to help. We've got some friends back by the mountains... why don't you come with us and we'll help you get your strength back."

GingerSnap said nothing as Eve and CopperLeif helped her to her feet, bracing against her on each side to help with stability.

As she recovered, GingerSnap quickly made friends with many of the dragons in Spirit’s Clan. Leif was eager to share notes and hear about the places she'd mapped thus far on her travels. FrostFang was overjoyed to meet another dragon with eyes touched strongly by the elements, seeing it as an omen that her newfound companion was destined for a prosperous future.

Once she'd recovered from her plight, GingerSnap decided she'd found a home amongst the eccentric clan living in the icy landscape. She still sets out to explore other parts of the world, sometimes with friends, other times alone and often for many moons at a time, but she always returns bright-eyed and eager to share her adventures and new knowledge with her found family.
