> a mechanised creation from a long, long time ago.
> he was found by Illarion while he was exploring the area around the base of the cliff. there are a few caves, all overgrown and crumbling, and Jyske was found covered in foliage just within the one that turned out to lead up to Castle Cordolium
> Jyske doesn't know what he was doing there, his memory bank has been wiped completely it seems, but perhaps he was a guardian or caretaker of the back exit at some point. or perhaps he was just abandoned there and tucked himself away from the elements
> it's unclear if there's any organic dragon in him, Jyske himself sure doesn't know, but he has an outward appearance that's very un-dragony
> when he reawoke and saw Illarion, his first instinct was to imitate that appearance so the mechanisms within him shifted until he took on the likeness of a pearlcatcher. this is presumably a self-preservation sequence - ie, he's less likely to be targeted for termination if he looks similar to those around him
> he's taken to wearing a mask in order to hide his more automated and difficult to conceal features, but most will accept that he has mechanical augmentations due to some injury or illness about his limbs. there are, he has learned, plenty of dragons who have robotic prosthetics so it's not strange
> he's a very kind and gentle individual, not prone to outbursts or violence. in fact, his slightly synthesised voice is soft and even and quite calming
> he just wants to sit in grassy fields or warm bakeries and enjoy life (something he's pretty sure he didn't get to do before... his hibernation? shutdown?)
> Illarion has other ideas.

Fact / Despite having the opportunity to get cleaned up properly after his reactivation, Jyske chose to keep some of the greenery that had grown over him. The flowers hide his wires and cables, and there's a family of birds that nest on his back, every year they come back and it'd be a real shame to get rid of their hard work. He very much likes woodland creatures and can often be found napping in glades frequented by deer or keeping hedgehogs safe as they cross roads.

Likes / Has literally no idea what he likes. This will take some learning to discover. Other than the woodland creatures, he hasn't had enough exposure to things beyond Bleakwater (the village, let alone the island). He does like the smell of coffee and tea and baked goods and he often consumes them even if they have no real benefit for him. It's just fun to participate in these things.

Dislikes / Very little at the moment. He might at some point come to realise that Illarion shouldn't be trusted and then he might dislike being tricked; heck, he might find out about all the tension between the groups on the island and be unhappy everyone doesn't get along; but for now he's just stoked to be awake again.

Interests / Literally everything is his interest. He has very capable memory storage and there's nothing on it! Gotta learn all the things and build up a database again.
