Biography

Mercy was born into an especially ruthless hunting clan in the Shrieking Wilds, infamous for their unrelenting hunting style and their cold-hearted methods to keep their members in line. Far, far over over the canopy the clan would circle during the night to hunt their prey. Their dark blue and black colouring the ideal camouflage in case one of their victims would look up into the nightsky. Merciless predators they were, and they would dive in insane angles down into the canopy to grab their victim and crush them in their claws or mould themselves to thick branches and wait till an unsuspecting prey would pass by. A strict hierarchy and clan traditions kept the members in line. Those who acted out had to enter the cave where-no-moonlight-falls and submit themselves to the judgement of the beast. No one knew what the beast was, but never had one of the dragons who had entered the cave come out again. Mercy, back then still called by his clan name, had committed one of the biggest crimes the clan knew. He had helped another, younger dragon earn their hunter's mark and angered the elders. Together they had to enter the cave. In the complete darkness Mercy's heart seemed to beat as loud as thunder. The youngling pressed himself tightly against him and he surpressed a fearful shiver. They walked deeper into the cave when they heard a fearful growl....
No one knew what happened that day in the cave where-no-moonlight-falls, but two beings entered the cave and three left. And from that day on the former hunter called himself Mercy. Soon after that he met Velvet and the rest is history.
