Biography
C U T L A S S
Fighter (Eldritch Knight)
Neutral Good
Soldier Background // Level 25
"You are cursed, Cutlass. Your lineage is haunted. Your very existence is a blight on the land, and so you, like your father and mother before you, are doomed to walk the earth hated by every dragon you meet."
Cutlass couldn't argue with that point. His family's curse was simply fact. His parents, Estoc and Minerva, had become afflicted in this way after fighting a wicked spirit haunting the Hewn City, imbuing them with great power at the cost of restless days and fitful sleep. Peace evaded his family line. And this restlessness - this unending, anxious, agitated energy - made everyone around them nervous, including the Guardian now blocking the Skydancer's entry into yet another clan.
Cutlass agreed with the Guardian's first point. He took issue, however, with his second:
"You will never be wanted anywhere, boy," the Guardian sneered, "because you will never be more than you are."
Cutlass scoffed. "Oh, truly?" The Skydancer replied. "Is that what you think? You seem to know something of my past, stranger, but what could you possibly know of my future? Who are you to tell me all that I am and will be, based on nothing but a single glance? My parents found a home and friends in spite of their curse. You are a fool to believe I cannot do the same."
The Guardian had no retort. With a roll of his eyes, Cutlass pushed past him into the clan's central grounds, determined to prove him wrong.
