Saran, The Contemplating
"When was the last time you stopped, and truly has a idea, or a thought. Not something fleeting, something sturdy that made you feel more secure"
Life comes hard, and it comes even faster. Saran was young when he learned this fact. Ripped away from his parents after an attack, he fled far. Joining caravans and travellers, he found himself stepping into Avere Divina. He was no stranger to magic, he had seen the fortune tellers, the tricksters, and the outstanding acrobats. This was something else. He heard of the city before, people who talk of its simple greatness. A humble village that rose to greatness through the grit of the dragons in it. So smitten, he decided to stay. It was here, that he paid pennance for what he has done. Living life on the road causes one to do things that are not always morally correct. He learned, adapted, and prospered after taking the time to reflect on the world as a whole.
12. Hanged Man
The hanged man understands that his position is a sacrifice that he needed to make in order to progress forward - whether as repentance for past wrongdoings, or a calculated step backward to recalculate his path onward. This time he spends here will not be wasted, he does this as part of his progression forward. His upside down state can also symbolize the feeling of those that walk a spiritual path, for they see the world differently. Where there are others that do not understand the need to sacrifice, you see it differently. This is a natural course of action for you as you walk the path alone.
