You could've sworn you saw that shrub moving...

They are a wandering deity of some sort and can "give birth" to new life through accidental "pollination". This seems to only occur with Gaoler dragons as their thick fur would get stuck in Ranthys' coat. Eventually, a new dragon will be born after budding off from Ranthys' coat.

Dragons born from Ranthys have been reported to have in one way or another plants growing in their fur. Whether or not this is because they hang around the garden or because they are part plant is unconfirmed.
