Born among the diseased tendrils of the Wandering Contagion, Oddity was a survivor from the start- sickness had taken her parents only days after she had been hatched. Fortunately she was clever and resourceful and quickly learned the ways of the Scarred Wasteland. Growing up, her natural charisma served her well. Allies were made easily and by the time she had fully reached adulthood, Oddity had become the leader of a wandering ragtag band of dragons: Kedris, Caliban, Oberon, Titania, just to name a few. The Clan of the Calamity was born.
Then the Decay struck.
The Creeping Decay took the lives of many, including her four and only hatchlings. Her own mate became infected by the disease, and, unable to bear Oddity seeing him suffer, walked off into the Abiding Boneyard to die alone. Hope was fading fast. She realized that to stay in the pestilent Scarred Wasteland would be a death sentence and when the clan's scientist Mordecai struggled to find a cure on his own, the two of them devised a plan that would take the surviving dragons into lightning territory in hopes that the scientists there could help.

The Clan of the Calamity was cured, but they were outcasts now from the plague flight. Renamed the Alliance of Aether, Oddity and her dragons started a new life under the rule of the Stormcatcher. No longer did they wander, too, for they had found a new and permanent home in an abandoned war bunker carved into the side of the Carrion Canyon.
