Sui

Sui is the sexually fluid and omniromantic female (she/her) seer of the clan. She helps strategically by predicting the future, as well as deciding whether two dragons are closely enough related to mate and others scrying activities. She is also a sorcerer and alchemist, taking lessons from Baldwin when she has the chance to visit the Trading Post.

Preferring to poison or trap her enemies, Sui isn’t one for face-to-face combat. Her confidence (perhaps over-confidence) and determination to treat both the most powerful monarch to the lowliest slave equally can come off as arrogance or lack of respect, but Sui doesn’t mind. She lives her life not caring what anyone thinks of her, even when it gets her into trouble. Apart from what some would call courage and some would call recklessness, she is very cryptic, a fan of hazy prophecies and confusing instructions. She is also compassionate, kind and fierce.

Sui changed not just clans but Flights when she arrived at Isha’s lair. Previously she had belonged to a lesser Arcane lair on the leylines of the Oculus of the Eleven, along with her four siblings.

Sui finds Isha very irritating, quite rude and awfully restrictive. But she does let Sui practice her sorcery, that’s one redeeming quality.

Sui is annoyed by Caersan’s aggression but he’s also a nice change from the other near-subservient personalities in the clan.

Sui loves Aurora’s company and her help with Sui’s sorcery. She also enjoys the talks she has with her.

Sui thinks Soraya is nice, and she’s always a willing test subject when Sui’s ran out of toads to practice her potions on.

Sui wouldn’t say she likes Lemuria… does that dragon even have a spine? Or is he kept up by someone asking him to? Honestly, ‘obedient’ didn’t do it.

Sui likes Thorn, he’s a knowledgeable dragon. He also helps her document her arcane findings, which is helpful.

Sui adores Angus’s lack of bias, as well as admiring his skills as peace-keeper. His eternal calm can get a bit tedious though…

Sui loves Hypatia (both platonically and romantically), especially as she is another dragon who isn’t completely submissive. Sui also finds it helpful that they can help each other with their tasks, giving them an excuse to stay up late stargazing together.

Sui’s first impression of Peacock is a small, weak, cowardly dragon, and then she remembers that out of twenty-one he’s one of the two dragons who’ll be her guinea pig when she’s experimenting, so he can’t be that bad. Quite un-bad, actually.

Sui favours dragons with a sense of independence and rebellion. She also likes the arcane arts, collecting, outlandish hats and exploring, whether it be in the real world or in a book. She can’t stand subservient dragons, as well as uncluttered spaces and bright light.
