A spirit deemed a “Nightmare Eater.” Yohualli slips easily between the veil of the spirit world and this one, searching for horrors to feast upon. Followed by its trusty familiar, the Otherworldly Aura, it makes rounds every night. Dragon-like in appearance, it does little to soothe the fear of any poor dragon unfortunate to wake as Yohualli feasts. There’s just something about those eyes….

About

Known only as the Nightmare Eater by dragons across Sornieth, Yohualli is a poorly misunderstood creature. More spirit than dragon, it takes this form to ease its charges so more successful nightmare extraction. Unfortunately, that rarely happens. This forces poor Yohualli to be more ferocious in its hunting tactics and ends up quite the inky, gooey mess. Still, it tries its best to keep the dragon from becoming aware of its presence to minimize the fear and difficulty.

Rumor has it that hatchlings are its favorite. Not quite true; Yohualli just has a soft spot for them. It hates to see these little ones suffering, and so does its best to ease their suffering at night. Yohualli is highly protective of these young hatchlings and has no issues with chasing off other spirits from interfering with what it considers its children. This can make it difficult when these hatchlings no longer want its influence.
