Brunch, much like his mother, is a loud, rambunctious type known for jumping headlong into situations without giving them much thought. He's not the brightest around, but he's loyal to a fault and has enough heart to make up for his reckless nature and lack of wits.
He loves to play harmless pranks and get into minor trouble, spurred largely by a sense of boredom and restlessness stuck in the Millmeadows. He's itching to get out and experience all life has to offer without his parents or clan elders breathing down his neck - he's young and curious, which has manifested as a bit of a rebellious streak. He's in training to join his mother among the clan's warrior ranks, though he's been known to shirk training in favor of hanging out with Axel. Despite this, he is serious about becoming a warrior for the clan, and he's working hard to hone his physique and fighting abilities. He's still young and has a long way to go, but he has a lot of passion and a generally good work ethic - when he's not being an irresponsible teen, that is. |

Brunch is Axel's best friend, and one of the only dragons whose opinion of Axel hasn't been colored by his lineage and the reputation of his parents. Brunch likes Axel for who he is, and doesn't care that Axel is the heir to the clan. The two go almost everywhere together, and the mischief they get up to is just as much Axel's fault as it is Brunch's. They sneak out of clan territory, play pranks, and generally make a spectacle of themselves. Follow the sound of raucous laughter and you're likely to find the two wrestling in the middle of the lair or otherwise making a bit of a scene. Brunch is the only dragon to know of the deep, complex feelings Axel struggles with as heir. Brunch isn't the brightest so he doesn't get it, really, but he's a surprisingly good and empathetic listener. As often as the pair can be found making a scene, they're also no strangers to sharing quiet moments of contemplation and support. It's a lesser-known side to them, but Brunch could recount many times he and Axel have sat together on the cliffside looking over the ocean and confided their fears in one another - fears for the clan, fears about their own futures, and all the other stresses that come with growing up. Brunch is generally considered obnoxious by the other dragons his age, as many of them are sick of his pranks and antics. Wisteria, in particular, has little patience for his tomfoolery. This doesn't bother him, though, and it certainly hasn't compelled him to stop his behavior - as long as nobody's getting hurt, he doesn't see the harm in a few little pranks. Brunch struggled with his feelings for Axel in secrecy for a while, confused about the way he felt. His feelings felt bigger than friendship, but not quite romantic. When he finally confided in Axel about this, Axel confessed to having similar feelings, and now the two are queer platonic partners. Their relationship is as committed as a traditional romantic relationship and neither wants to step out on their qpr. |
