Thorn

On the outskirts of the forest, a creature of shy beauty lays basking on his sun-rock, perched on the edge of the cliff that looks down onto a plateau of grazing beasts.
Gently preening some feathers on his fore-leg, his eyes half closed in peaceful bliss as he goes about his grooming, so engrossed in the task that he is oblivious to his silent admirer that had crept into his space, another dragon of darker complexion that lay crouched in the shadows of the tree's.

She was different to him, she definitely looked out of place here, her dark scales clashing with the foliage around her but she didn't give the impression of danger, she actually appeared to be quite a young dragon and had an almost mischievous feeling about her, especially as her butt gave a little wiggle and she dashed forward to give her friend a fright - just as he was about to pull out that pesky tick that he'd finally found.
