Biography
Few know of how Lord Gwyn claimed his title. There is a story told, though its veracity is questionable. As it goes, the self-proclaimed king wasted many years without a charge. He spent ages alone in some land of squalor, struggling to survive, living like a mere animal. It is said that one day a flame appeared before him, a beacon burning brighter than the sun, brighter than any of the Arcanist's beloved stars. Staring into this fire, Gwyn supposedly found new meaning in its light, and set off far away from his home.
He claimed a new land as his own, settled on a great mountain and declared himself a king. He took up a mate, neither of them pairing out of affection for the other. But Gwyn's kingdom was empty. Not content with being king of some forsaken rock, Gwyn drew young dragons to his land by spreading tales of the greatness of his new land, which he christened Lordran.
He kept the ones who arrived with promises of prosperity, of justice, and of mates. He would allow those loyal, worthy pilgrims who had no families to take his sons and daughters once they came of age. The fact that these offspring had yet to be born did not deter the king, for his dream ruled above all else. As far as he was concerned, even his own children existed primarily to advance his grossly incandescent destiny.
Whether or not this destiny shall be attained has yet to be seen. Many pages in the story of the King of Lordran remain blank, and only time will tell how it ends.
