From a very young age, Slate always held a deep-seated unease over the Earthshaker’s final words. He hadn’t heard them himself, but they were passed down first-hand from his elders. His parents tried to assure him that he would know what to do when the time was right.

Wrong. Wrong. WRONG.

His childhood was spent discovering Sornieth and his adolescence was spent learning to protect others. Not once in those years had he discovered what to do.

After a long night on guard duty, he stumbled into a delipidated ruin that only raised more questions. To find answers, he spent many sleepless nights there, essentially moving in and leaving his clan, trying to glean what he could from the walls. He might not know how to protect dragonkind but could certainly research this architectural wonder. His interest was furthered when an Obelisk, who knew nothing of the Earthshaker's wishes, stumbled into his new home speaking of prophetic dreams and obscure visions.
