Biography

WwrvF2I.png Kobolds are are small reptilian creatures that occupy a wide variety of biomes within Sorienth. Although each variant has unique adaptations to their environments, they are similar enough where we feel confident they can be categorized into the same species.

Kobolds look remarkably like teeny, tiny Mirrors. Adults only grow to about half the size of a standard Mirror, and hatchlings are about the size of an adult Fae. They all have stunted head crests and no leg fins.
Bandit Kobolds:

Their love of treasure and riches rivals even the greediest dragon, and they even lay their eggs in piles of gold. Bandit Kobold lairs can be found along common trade routes or close to market stalls. These Kobolds have a unique call that solely consists of mimicry, and can perfectly repeat any sounds or even broken bits of Draconic that they hear. Their main tactic is to mimic cries for help to lure in unwitting Dragons into a trap. Then they typically rob the dragon blind, dashing off to store all the goods within their lairs.

Laced/Edged Genes:

The plated scales along their hide give them extra defense against harm. They also tend to be the largest of their kin. Kobolds with these natural boons use their strength and toughness to protect their clans, either from outside threats, or as bodyguards to their pack leaders. Although their large size means they could take down large prey, they are not typically sent out for hunting as their larger size slows them down. Their pack role is mostly “warriors”, and they defend their clans with ruthless ferocity. In clans that prize strength over intelligence, the largest ones are the leaders.
