Petal was not always seen as a terrifying old crow, though she has always been powerful and deadly. She had once been an assassin for the Gladekeeper themselves. She would blend herself into the areas, hearing the rumors spread as others literally walked on her, thinking she was simply a lumpy patch of grass. Her tactics were deadly.

Petal's fate was decided quite early in life when her egg was stolen from its nest the night before she was to hatch. Her egg was stolen by the Assassin Queen themselves, Selena. There, she was taught to worship death before all, being a servant of the the end regardless of origin.

She grew into her role with a swiftness unlike any other before her. Her method of killing surrounded using sage shells poison. She harvested the liquid death and dipped blades, dropped it into food or drinks, or simply tipped her claws in it. Her name quickly became a myth, many thought she were a ghost, some even began believing she was the avatar of death.

When finally she let herself be arrested to complete a job inside the prison in the deepest forest, she was approached by the Gladekeeper themselves, offering anything she wanted in return for their partnership.

She performed acts for her god she has sworn not to speak about, but in the end, choose a much different life. She wanted to become a mother. In return, the Gladekeeper gave Petal a family stitched together, all misfits and outcasts themselves. The Elhonna clan.

She grew into the role of the "mother queen" quickly despite swearing to never mother eggs herself. She takes all under her wing as if they were her own hatchlings, providing a swift and wrathful punishment to any who disrespect her or her clanmates.

Now, many still whisper about the deadly Petal, giving the clan a high level of respect, and power. Petal maintains a cold mask for all those who are not within her clan, but those in her inner circle or of her clan know of her kindness and warm heart. She rules under strict control but values mercy above all else after her lifetime of killing.
