Biography

It's dark. I'm so cold, Where am I? Who am I? What was I doing?

I heard a voice call out ``Darling? Where are you?`` Darling? Was that my mother? A dark fog was all over the surroundings so I had no clue where the voice was coming from ``Sweetheart? Over here! `` The voice called out again, This time I followed it. ``Hello dear`` the voice came from a dragon that's like me, but she was much larger. Her coat was a dark charcoal color, she had a beautiful mane that was almost gold and she was sporting rusty horns. ``Come now my child, Let's get you out of this horrid fog`` Her voice was so gentle and caring so against my better judgment I followed, Afterall, anything was better than this dark, cold fog.

We walked for quite a bit, the larger dragon carried me when I got tired until we made it to what looked to be an abandoned castle although it was beautiful, just like the dragon who lived here. She fed me lots of meat, and cleaned me up before asking me questions ``Do you remember your name dear?`` Her gaze was soft as she looked down at me, I simply shook my head in response. ``Do you remember how you got here?`` Once again I shook my head. ``Well then sweetheart, I'll give you a new name`` I smiled at that, I had a name, granted I didn't know it, so a new one wouldn't hurt ``I'd like that.`` We both sat in silence as the larger dragon thought up a new name for me ``Lirael! That's your new name Lirael, It means you are responsible, you are the eldest, the origin as you are the start of something new`` I smiled at her, repeating my new name silently to myself, I love it. ``What's your name?`` I queried, she simply chuckled and told me ``I'm Usta, Your mother``

Years had passed since then, Mother had brought home more lost children, she taught me all she knew on how to survive and continues to do the same for my siblings.
