(I think you said you were okay with footnote ideas for him, right? The interlinked lore between him and Ultima is something you seem to have clear ideas for, and I don't want to step on your toes!)
-Maybe mention something about their age difference in the rivalry, sort of the "young upstart" vs. the "old master" which is always a fun dynamic
-what magical skills does he have, and how do they differ or overlap with Ultima's? Are their magic powers the source of the rivalry, or is it deeper than that? or pettier than that?
-could they be fighting over something? like a piece of information, a relic/artifact, etc?
-throw in a few mentions of hobbies that make Davika seem "snooty." Cliches are like being obsessed with personal appearances/vanity or material gain/wealth
