Serul was brought to The Raven Mother at a very young age, after both of her parents were called into service of The Tidelord, leaving the hatchling with nowhere else to go. Since then, she has been treated as Nesihari's adopted daughter, learning the same methods as the Raven Mother. As she was growing, Serul quickly found out she had more of a talent for song and allure rather than secrecy and deceit. Regardless of this fact, she played it to her advantage, figuring out how to twist those skills into something that better suits her own desires.

She has since fallen for the clan's Quartermaster and spends a majority of her time in his company as a result. She likes to think that she charmed the seasoned skydancer into falling for her, however the truth of the matter is he had admired her long before she had shown interest in him! Whether she knows this or not remains to be seen but whatever the case may be she doesn't let the thought stop her from asking her mate to spoil her with fine trinkets and apparel.
