Biography
The Fae matron of the clan, and founding dragon, Ealis was discovered by an Ethereal Trickster when she was just an abandoned egg. For reasons known only to it (and perhaps the Gladekeeper), the Ethereal Trickster watched over and cared for the egg until Ealis hatched, then helped raise her while she grew from a tiny hatchling into a not-as tiny adult. The two remain close friends, and while the trickster is often away engaging in its own mischievous activities, it will never be away more than a week or so. When they are together the two often chase each other through the woods surrounding the lair and play pranks on passing dragons.
Ealis began building her lair soon after hatching by expanding her adoptive parent's home - a small hole in a tree. Her skill with magic grew as she did, and she soon built a modest home for herself with the tree's own sap. As her skills continued to grow, and as more dragons came to join her clan, her tree came to support several houses; then it expanded to neighboring trees, until finally the lair grew to become the small tree village it is now. Specific branches between the clan's trees are covered in layers of amber to form hidden tunnels that allow the Fae to move quickly and secretly from one tree to the next.
Under Ealis' direction the Fae dragons care for and nurture their grove of trees. The clan is by no means the greatest among the many dragons of the Nature flight when it comes to caring for plants, but Ealis does her best nonetheless, and their grove has managed to still attract attention as a peaceful place to relax for an afternoon. The trees are still young, much like the clan, but they continue to grow and reach for the heavens.
