Perhaps just a little TOO enthusiastic. This one speaks loudly, grins toothily, and leans in when engaging others. Intense might be another good word for her. There's an almost manic look in her eyes, but everything seems to be fairly reined in.

But if the excessive scarring is any indication, sometimes that composure isn't always present.

Arikae is a plague-born, plague-raised wyrm who ultimately lost her place in her birth clan (and flight) by being too “soft.” For all the reckless fury she affects in a fight, most of her opponents live to fight another day. When her clan turned on her, she was forced to beat a hasty but violent retreat out of the Scarred Wasteland. Unfortunately, her pursuers were by no means deterred when she crossed the border into the Starfall Isles, and one dragon can only fight off so many of their irate kin before finally collapsing from a mix of blood loss and exhaustion.

When she woke, it was to a grizzled ice guardian standing watch over her. Pazrek didn’t have to say a word for Arikae to know that he’d decided she was his (latest) charge. The two have been traveling together ever since, at the ridgeback’s whim. She periodically tries to lose him, though by now it is less in protest to having an overbearing watchlizard and more just a game she plays with the gruff warrior.

Most of their work has been the obvious mercenary stuff you’d expect a pair of wandering fighters to pick up - slay this monster that’s been menacing the locals, help prune the strangler and owl population, find grandma’s misplaced ceremonial mask. Arikae is the sort to accept most every available job, and Pazrek dutifully follows along.

As to the dragon herself, rather than her history? Though Arikae has a quick temper, she’s just as adept at forgiving (and, more importantly, forgetting), and tends to live in the moment rather than focusing on the road ahead. Rushing ahead without thinking has gotten her into trouble more often than not, and one can’t help but wonder if it’s intentional.

Totally has matching tattoos with Pazrek as a sign of solidarity in spite of her tendency to tease the old fart. The coordinating outfits are also not a coincidence.

In general, she tends to be a little intense to deal with. Trends all-in with anything from friendliness to competition. Being Plague-raised teaches a dragon questionable social values.

Rumor has it that the backstory given by Pazrek and Arikae is unreliable at best. In spite of this, she still serves as the party leader for the Heirloom Shields, a LEMON-certified adventuring troupe. While other troupes are known for efficiency, diplomacy, or professionalism, the Shields have a reputation for... shenanigans.
