The Sanctuary of Outliers
The Beginning
Adeline started the clan as a place where all could be welcome, a home for all of those in need. When she first began the clan, it was only her and Narcissus, a dragon that no one loved. Well, he loved himself… a little too much, which was probably why no one else wanted to be in his presence. But Adeline accepted him. She let him stay with her. And as her clan gathered more and more outsiders, it began to function as a sanctuary. So many dragons came, went, and stayed. Adeline eventually formed a system of advisers, one for security, one for internal affairs, and one for the treasury. Dragons happily functioned in their daily lives and began to establish roots in Dragonhome. Everything was peaceful… well… maybe not peaceful, because with that many dragons that didn’t really belong anywhere, there was sure to be some problems.

Adeline's everyday life includes making all of the important decisions for her clan. Sure, she has her advisers to help her make those decisions, but ultimately, the decision is hers and hers alone. She doesn't let the pressure get to her, though, and instead spends what little free time she has helping the other dragons of her clan and making them smile. After all, she wants everyone to feel welcome.

Having been raised by some foster parents since she was very young, Adelina did not receive a lot of love and attention in her formative years. The natural children of her foster parents were the priority in her family, she knew this, but she always was given enough to eat, and for that she was thankful. When she was pressured to strike out on her own in adulthood, she decided to found a clan in hopes of providing a place for outcasts such as herself. Although she tries to welcome all, those who do not seek the welfare of the clan may not stay long. Since then, her clan has grown to quite a considerable size and merit, providing food, shelter, and, most importantly, a sense of belonging for many wayward dragons searching for purpose in the Earth domain.
