some notes:

• lives in a makeshift lab carved into the very foundation of Jahi's dwelling; as such, pure silence almost never befalls the clan, the nights instead filled with the familiar (and to many, comforting) sounds of clinking, clattering, and indecipherable muttering as he works

• he very, very rarely leaves his lab unless he's summoned in a medical emergency or by the Savior herself; otherwise, trying to get his attention requires lots of time and patience as he often tunes everything else out while he's working and doesn't take kindly to interruptions or distractions
as such, newer clan members often have no idea he exists and are caught off-guard by the sounds in the walls during their first night

• stays awake for weeks straight doing nothing but working until he crashes and enters a comatose-like state of slumber where no sound or stimuli is capable of waking him up; the rest of the clan can tell when this occurs solely from the sudden cessation of ruckus

• doesn't feel hunger or thirst when he's awake; though he can go without both for longer than the average dragon, he will eventually die without them, and has become very good friends with Mirai since she regularly brings him snacks and drinks

• genuinely likes and trusts Mirai; he's always excited to see her and will always appreciate her for procuring pillows and blankets for him to build a cozy designated passing out nook with

• he's an exceedingly rare Time Reversal Healing (T.R.H) Mage, meaning he has the innate ability to rewind time on a wounded dragon's body to a previous uninjured state, reversing the injury from existence and eliminating any possibility of scarring. due to the cultural significance Plague places on scars, T.R.H Mages are viewed in a negative light in the Wasteland and he's rarely authorized to use his magic unless it's to reverse a disabling or potentially lethal injury on an important member of Jahi

• T.R.H magic also reverses the immune response in the selected area, meaning an incomplete or otherwise botched reversal would leave his patient at a very high risk of severe or fatal infection, the former due to the delayed immune response and the latter due to too strong of an immune response, if not causing sudden death from the prolonged absence of any response to the injury they received.
- T.R.H magic does not innately remove debris or other unwanted foreign agents from the wound either, and unless the reversal process makes his patient's body push it out on their own, the debris will end up trapped in the part of his patient's body that was healed, once again opening them up to infection, internal injury, or death. he must manually remove debris and clean the wound to prevent this, but the level of risk must be assessed and tradeoffs will have to be made when summoned to reverse a severe and extremely time-sensitive injury
- T.R.H magic doesn't work on illnesses either; if there isn't an open wound for him to direct his magic towards, it's ineffective. he may have non-magical ways to help, though

• outside of his magic, he's an excellent medic with deep knowledge of draconic anatomy and rather unconventional methods of patching his patients up. due to how rarely he's on the field, he's better known within Jahi for the various medicines he produces; while their painkilling abilities are second-to-none, no one really knows what they're made from or where his ingredients were sourced, and there's always a looming risk of unwanted side effects

• if he's not specifically tasked with creating something, expect him to be messing around with ingredients to see what clicks or trying to create medicine that'll fulfill his latest curiosity of "what if?" or "wouldn't this be really funny?"

• he ultimately only wanted a peaceful place to conduct his experiments in and bountiful supplies to conduct them with, and since Sonja promised those two things to him and followed through on them, Jahi is where he ended up and where he'll stay indefinitely. he's largely clueless to the drama and such of the clan and, with the exception of Mirai, doesn't feel strongly one way or another to anyone there, being on friendly terms with the members one day and then using them as lab rats or creating tranquilizers, sedatives, and the like to be used against them on an order from their Savior the next. he promises it's nothing personal, and really, it isn't; there's just very little in the world that can make him care all that much about anything outside of his personal interests

• Sonja is far less of a "Savior" to him and more-so just.. his boss, technically. he fulfills the tasks she asks of him and she, in return, gives him a nice place to conduct his experiments, supplies to use, and free rein to test what he pleases in his off time. when he takes a look around, he sees just how sketchy she and the people who hang around her are, but he knows he's no different from them— it comes with the territory

• when a dragon needs medicine and he's in an exceptionally good mood, he'll occasionally tailor it to their tastes, whether that be making it their preferred flavor or letting them choose certain aesthetic add-ons like its color or glitter. the best advice newer members can be given is to graciously accept the "treat" with a smile and a word of thanks, especially if he customized it for them prior to their arrival and input; they have yet to discover anything that makes him angrier than his medicine being rejected by "ungrateful" patients, and those who gain this title from him must tread lightly around him until he hopefully forgets what they did to him— while ideally not getting seriously injured during the time between those two points

• he takes the sanctity of his lab very seriously, seldom letting anyone into it. the only people he lets in on any "official" basis are Sonja and Mirai, and even that's infrequent; the others who get to venture deeper into his lab are test subjects, who're often confined to just one room, and patients who need care involving equipment he's unwilling or unable to move

• he has full control over his lab (excluding Sonja's ability to override his rules and decisions, though she never does) and full authority to chew out almost anyone who disrespects it or the rules he has in place for it; Sonja herself agrees they deserve it and doesn't intervene

• he acts as a sort of primary care physician at times; he's the only medic capable of managing chronic conditions and is willing to routinely examine & study specific patients in order to try to find the root of the issue and improve the efficacy of their medicine

• abnormally strong for a dragon of his size. this unpleasant fact is quickly discovered by much bigger and stronger dragons who, in their attempt to get away from him, only find themselves being yanked back or firmly held in place by him

• usually physically numb, even to harmful or painful stimuli, as a result of decades of experimentation byproducts; this leads to him often having random wounds he has no memory of getting that remain undiscovered by him until he finds traces of blood around his workspace. he typically uses his T.R.H magic on himself to solve the problem, but even that isn't foolproof; at times, the wound went undiscovered for so long that it already began to heal and the application of his magic only undoes the healing and makes his injury worse

• as a useful medic, harming him is forbidden and incurs harsher punishments, but he has yet to report any harm actually occurring; due to his numbness, test subjects injuring him in the midst of thrashing rarely registers to him unless he actually sees himself get wounded, in which case he'll simply reverse the injury and move on. if he doesn't, he either assumes the injury was from unrelated work or just.. never notices it at any point and it scars over without fuss. Sonja can't punish anyone for an infraction she never knows occurred and those who do harm Aumoe often do so involuntarily in the middle of an experiment and don't realize they did it, so nothing ever comes of it

• frequent large lapses in memory due to sleep deprivation + severe memory loss in general along with terrible time perception. he knows he hasn't been at Jahi forever and knows he had to have been doing something and came from somewhere before getting to this point, but everything before this point in his life is missing for him, including his name, family, and childhood— assuming he ever had them to begin with. he doesn't know why he can't remember or if he's always been like this

• normally doesn't realize how much he forgets on a day-to-day basis. Mirai always helps him remember

• the internal politics of who's been excommunicated or is currently on thin ice have never mattered to him, but since he wants to stay in good graces with Sonja as to retain access to his lab and supplies, he abides by the rules enforced regardless. again, nothing personal

• excluding the blends of scavenged herbs the other medics have created, Jahi's medicine cabinet is entirely stocked and sustained by Aumoe. although he has no issue with whipping up more, Sonja often limits access of the medicine to important higher-ranking clan members who're injured enough to need the help but not enough to need his magic personally while the herb blends made by the other medics are used for milder injuries and on lower-ranking members

• lovingly nicknamed Moe by the older members of the clan who've seen/interacted with him more often than most
