Biography
Bashara, Lightkeeper of the Windplains
Bashara had barely been out of her shell for a day when Pardu and Rasik made a pact with her sire and dam, offering one of their sons in exchange for her as a bond between the two clans. Pardu clutched the tiny guardian to her chest that night with her other two sons, singing softly to her and murmuring tales of the Wind plains to lull them off to sleep. The next morning Pardu disappeared off to the Brightshine Jubilee and returned home with gaudy baubles for the young hatchling so that she might always remember the clan of her birth, tucking them away in a chest until Bashara was old enough to wear them herself. The next day Pardu brought Bashara her Light Sprite, which slowly bonded to the tiny guardian babe as she grew.
This joyful acceptance of her duality of being born into the Light but adopted into the Wind has left Bashara with an easygoing mind. Watching the last of her red-skinned brothers being swept off to meet his fate in another clan while she and Ziggurat drew closer gave her plenty to think about, and as she grows beneath Pardu and Rasik's tutelage she wonders where she will go on her Search or if she doesn't need to at all.
After all, she had already made one journey and found Ziggurat, her brother from another shell. They were worlds apart in size and clan, but being with him was as if they had always been meant to be siblings. Bashara spent many afternoons delighting in their own made-up games and words, and as she began to dwarf him in size she would wrap a wing about him as they dozed, comforted by his dark presence tucked close to her side. If she ever does leave her new clan home to find her destiny, she has considered asking Ziggurat to go with her, so she might have someone to joke and spend time with during what is likely to be a very long trek. In this way, she is certain the mirror clan she was adopted into and the fae blood of her father has left an impression upon her. While most guardians are solitary creatures, she could never see herself alone for long. Perhaps she is strange in that way, but as long as Ziggurat does not mind, she does not take the time to care.
