NC's only dragon currently able to do field research regarding the Forbidden Portal; working with a small team of non-NC-affiliated Arcane dragons to study the nature of the portal and the alien-looking fauna that occasionally stumbles through it (that's not his job though, he's no biologist.) His research, unbeknownst to his colleagues, was instrumental in allowing NC to develop safer, more reliable portal technology of their own.
Currently working out the details of secretly sending a camera drone through the portal to determine where it leads. So far Discovery and NC hypothesize the portal leads to someplace within the Sornieth system, or at the very least somewhere within our universe, like the Moonportal, rather than a different universe, like the Rift.
He studied optics for a while and has a side gig building telescopes; they're primitive by NC standards but he sees it more as an art, and amateur astronomers and tourists alike are more than happy to pay for his quality work.
His mate, Zkaza, is currently serving as a sort of tour-guide-slash-vessel for a Riftkind researcher.
