Cheren has always been fascinated by alchemy, or any science in general. The way that a single one of her feathers can be part of a new item motivates them to collect many frivolous items (that the clan does not have room for) which fills up the area surrounding their nest. Cheren will frequently bring extra supplies to Baldwin to help him with his projects and it helps the clan out because there are so many items that could be used to help the Galactic Syndicate thrive.

As an ice dragon, Cheren didn't really care much about the Icewarden or her powers, but they've often been fond of the Shadowbinder. So many of their friends were shadow dragons and it inspired them to become a devoted member of the Syndicate.
