Biography

One of the many younger sons of a reasonably wealthy clan leader. Unsatisfied with his position, Ainsley had dream and drive to strike out to start his own line. In respect for his ambition to lead, his clan leader gave him blessing to leave.

Ainsley was given Dayna to be his consort, by his old clan leader, so that he would have a breeder to start his line. But her shrewish and difficult nature, and her refusal to obey him and respect his authority turned him off her. He passed her on to his second in command Balantis, when Dreena joined the clan.

Defeated in battle by Balantis' son Ahmet, Ainsley was forced to give up control of the clan. A small mercy he was not banished but allowed to remain. With injured wings from the fight he can no longer fly, or hunt properly. Dreena takes care of him, and they continue to share a nest, but no longer have any eggs.
