-Jib is the (slightly) louder one, Rocky is more likely to be hatching a plan
-they'll take turns seamlessly being each other's distraction or alibi to try to get out of trouble (welcome to expand that to the other kids when they're all together)
-favorite shared hobby is baffling adults with bs, what's the most outrageous lie they can get away with making believable
-their birds can both talk but don't often, the kids are naturally delighted any time either bird says a remotely bad word and look very very earnestly innocent about where the bird could *possibly* have heard it

They were searching for donuts before heading off to the Scavenger Hunt, when Rocky just automatically started following the signs with arrows.
"That way!" he hollered as he spiraled off in yet another direction. The three little Spirals often flew so close together, weaving in and out with no clear formation, that Aster was amazed they didn't end up in knots. At least that would slow them down...!
As the little troupe filed down to the front, a little voice told Aster they were being a little too compliant...
They reached the stone stage just as a green-winged Fae was fluttering down. Verdigris sat them down right in front. Satisfied, Aster turned to weave his way back through the incoming throng. The voices by the stage were drowned out by the laughter and chatter of arriving dragons.
As he reached the edge of the glen, high piping voices caught his attention and he turned back toward the stage. There was his quartet, clustered in the middle, singing to beat the band:
THIS was the song taught them by their Grandmother??!!! Pirate Shanties were known for starting off playful and quickly going downhill from there! Aster turned about and started to push his way back to the stage...
The audience seems a little taken aback at the four little pirates' choice of song, but in the end it all goes over well - they're adorably flustered by the applause, all except Juice who preens and basks in the attention like an old pro.
They're ushered off the stage by Verdigris in preparation for the next act, and Aster is surprised to see them plop down obediently in the front row and only serve as a minor distraction for the dragons seated nearby as the next performance begins. While they're occupied, he should have enough time to fetch donuts after all!

They arrived at the clearing just as Verdigris was finishing her speech. Rocky turned immediately to Aster. "They're doin' Carry-okay!! We wanna do Carry-okay!!" Of course his siblings all joined in. |

Yo ho, yo ho, Sky Pirate’s th' life for me!
We flap an’ we soar, we climb an’ we dive,
Let’s fly, me ‘earties, yo ho!
We ne’er live in a lair, cave, or hive,
Let’s fly, me ‘earties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, Sky Pirate's th' life for me!
We tell lots o' tales o' th' grand days o' yore,
Let's fly, me 'earties, yo ho!
We steal from th' rich an' we give t' th' poor,
Let's fly, me 'earties, yo ho!

Yo ho, yo ho, Sky Pirate’s th' life for me!
We’re rascals, scoundrels, villians, an' knaves,
Let’s fly, me ‘earties, yo ho
We run from our duties (we’re not very brave)
Let’s fly, me ‘hearties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, Sky Pirate’s th' life for me!
We never bemoan th' things that we lack,
Let’s fly, me ‘earties, yo ho!
We soar o'er th' horizon an' never look back,
Let’s fly, me ‘earties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, Sky Pirate’s life for me!
