Diyu

The first thing Diyu remembered was looking up at his smiling dragon mother as he emerged from his shell, carefully tottering on new legs and stretching his wings, the next suddenly he smelt panic and there was a great commotion,

Diyu remembers seeing his mothers rageful eyes staring out at whatever would dare intrude on her single egg hatching. Diyu was kicked aside as his mother fought an intruder who smelled of sickness and something he could not recognize.

Diyu then remembers being awoken briefly by a far away cry, a cry of search and companionship, he loud out the loudest cry he could before falling unconscious again from the great pain he felt. He was then gently nudged awake, looking up he saw the source of the cry, another hatchling, a gorgeous blue obsidian ivory mix, suddenly the other hatchling looked fearful and urged Diyu up, and on a long journey, he wished to stop many times but she would not let him.

Her name was “Ith” she told him, she told him the tale of her awakening to herself alone as they came upon a river, Diyu was lost in the cool rush of the water when he and Ith were startled by a larger dragon. The dragons name he learned he learned- Malvina, and he would come to adore this dragon and her partner Atlas as they would take him and Ith in as their own.
