It is best never to answer to strange voices that you may hear in the forests after nightfall. Do not reply until you see the faces to the voice, even if they sound distressed, even if you think you know them.


Sometimes those who wander into the woods come back changed. Of a myriad of things, one possible change is that they become voiceless. They do not speak. They wander silently, wasting away. They are mere echos of themselves, having lost something vital to themself- something beyond their voice.
Efforts have been made to help these lost ones, but there has been no true success as of yet. However, through those efforts, it has been discovered that there is a thing in their memories they all share in common. They spoke to a voice they could not see the origin of.
