Biography

The Traveler
Pensive, Thoughtful, Dreamy, Curious
Sunshine child. Preserve him forever.

Yes, you think it's probably a good idea to learn more about this clan while you're here. This Mirror is evidently not going to be of any help to you, so you think you'll take their advice and find someone else to talk to.

You're directed to an Orange Skydancer sitting outside the lair. He's staring serenely at the sky, immobile. You assume that he is meditating, and awkwardly stand slightly behind him, waiting for him to finish.

A few long moments pass before he seems to come out of his trance and say in a melodious, wise voice, "Ah yes, now I remember. I did leave my familiar back in the Shifting Expanse."

He notices you standing there and gets to his feet to greet you, "Hello! I am Pectin, the ambassador of the Goodwill clan. I'm guessing that Galactose wasn't willing to answer any questions you may have.

"You've come to the right drake then! I can tell you, briefly, what our clan does. We mainly serve the Windsinger, and most dragons that come through us will eventually make their way up to the Cloudsong as Kites to aid His Eternal Windiness. Besides exaltation, we work other fields as well, though I don't think Galactose would like me to talk about that."

You're not quite satisfied with his vague answer, and you're about to ask Pectin for more clarification when he cuts you off by saying, "I'm not the one you want to ask about many things. I'm just an ambassador, really, and a rather shoddy one at that. I'm just in this position for the traveling I get to do.

"If you want someone who will be able to answer your questions, or find someone who will, you should probably talk to that girl over there," Pectin says, nodding in the direction of a pale Coatl, who ducks away as soon as she sees you glance in her direction.

"Alternatively, if you're here to kill time and are up for some crazy stories, we've got our very own muse for that.

"We're not really a fighter clan, but if you're here for an issue of security, you might want to talk to our Captain of the Guard," Pectin snorted as he said that. "We've got a grand total of four dragons on our 'Guard', so take that however you will."
Pectin fits in well with the Wind dragons of his clan; he's a traveler at heart, and when he goes on a trip, it will often be weeks on end before the rest of the clan see him again. Some of the older clan members always try to get him to stay, and he may relent for a week or two, but eventually the sky will call to him and he will fly off.

He doesn't travel with a destination in mind; he's really in it for the feeling of flight and traveling where the wind takes him. Of course, his dreamy nature does end up hindering him at times when he gets trapped somewhere because he didn't think through departure as well as he thought about arrival.

When his head is not literally and figuratively up in the clouds, he is a very inquisitive and intuitive. He has a tendency to be right when he's concentrating, although it takes a while to get him to focus. His travels have given him insight and experience into many topics, so he tends to be the problem solver of the clan. When he's around.

Exalting Pectin to the service of the Windsinger will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
