Biography

Anivia
The Firstborn Star

Enchanted Candle
The firstborn star between two dragons in the cult, Soulcatcher and Nova. She was given the ability to hear the sounds of stars in the sky, and sits up at night watching them move. Anivia has not made a sound since she was hatched, not even a growl or cry. She communicates with the others by writing, though she rarely does this. When asked why she was so quiet, she simply wrote, "I can hear it all"

No one is quite sure why Kerria thought this power would suit her, or what purpose it would serve the cult, but Anivia is sure there must be some reason to it.
She's closest to her parents, and doesn't seem to trust many other dragons, especially Solae and Cenwen. She once wrote, "I can hear their distrust. They are not like us," when referring to them.

She carries a large book with her to write in when she has to communicate, but she usually avoids it when she can. Even still, she can be seen writing in it often. She's very protective of this book, and doesn't let anyone near it unless she's writing something to be read. No one really knows what she writes about in her book, but once Nova saw that the book was glowing while Anivia was bent over it.

Her parents are wary of her book. Nova, being a magician herself, can recognize that it's magic, but can't get close enough to read the spells. She wants to believe her daughter's spells are important and benefit the cult, but she has a nagging feeling that Anivia is up to something else. Soulcatcher is mostly annoyed by his daughter's writings. He doesn't care to understand the magic, but only brings it up to tell Anivia to, "stop that incessant scratching."

What Anivia doesn't tell anyone, is that she hates her power and hates the cult. The stars above make a horrible scream, as if they're all trying to tell her something all at once, and it tortures her. She believes, though, that she has this power for a reason. And even though she doesn't trust Kerria, and she wishes to escape the cult, she feels that she has to use her power and her magic to stop the cult somehow. Constantly, she writes and studies magic, trying to find something to stop Kerria.
