Amergin is well versed in the spoken and written word, both flamboyant yet humble, always willing to compose a sonnet or a couplet or whatever else one may desire, with or without a request. His inspiration comes with the snap of a claw, pricing his arts at absolutely nothing, at times adding in some unicorn dust out of his own pocket. He hold his harp in equal regard to his pearl, holding it in a satchel around his waist, gleaming in the sun along with the rest of him as he often perches in the main square of the local city to sing, making up the words as he goes, spinning the intricate sentence thread on his loom of vocabulary, sweet voice cheering up all, never to be silenced by the dark of the night or the gravity of the silence.

A fragment of an ancient lay about the Curse besetting the land:
In ancient days, when the worlds were young
Thea days of terror not yet begun
Arose there then a breed of light,
Never before seen in the flight.

Of noble mein and lordly face,
All paid homage in that place,
But the greatest heeded wisdom’s shroud,
And spoke out caution to the crowd.

And more and more, and greater mein
Came and bowed to the brightest queen.
Yet even in a heart so bright,
Woke then the doubt of night.

When all had come, ten thousand strong,
A roar of doom drummed its song.
The lordly faces screamed in pain,
As the merging drove them insane.

Then light struck down a heavy blow,
And shielded those who would not change so,
The Bringer bared her soul and mind,
And the deepest curse so to bind.

The land lay scorched, but battle won,
And the Bringer yet labors at the task begun.
In each lair she guards the ways,
And summons those who would the terror face.

Yet, the world spins on, and tales grow dim,
And the ancient curse still lies within,
Let those who may heed this tale,
Lest the Bright Warding fail.

Wreathed in shadow, born in flame.
Lightning calls and writes their name.
In thunder born, in shadow bred.
Souls kindled new, against the dread.

Shades of darkness, shades of night,
The shadow stands yet with the light.
A deeper foe, twists the name,
That shadow fights to reclaim.

A world of ruin, though not barren still,
A world renewed, against shattered hill.
The world reborn, to come again,
And Shadow and lightning yet begin.

Bold the soul, and deep the grief,
Sent beyond to bring relief,
From bitter curse of long ago,
Lift their names, as they go.
