The prince of Umbra Noctis and a playful jokester with a good heart; he loves to make people smile. Despite his appearance, he takes his duties seriously.

Astor was born the first son of the king and queen of Umbra Noctis and Koufuku's older twin brother. While the two of them were practically opposites in personality- he was lively and social while she was quiet and reserved- they got along very well (though in their younger years it was mostly because they both loved their friend Masayoshi; it took them a little while to truly get along on their own). As he grew up with two relatively unexpressive playmates, Astor slowly began to discover his love for making others smile.

The older the three of them (Astor, Koufuku, and Masayoshi) became, the more they all had to focus on the duties and the less time they spent together. Rejecting this, Astor began to hang around the two as much as possible, calming them down when they were stressed and making them smile when they were down- and as more and more people became part of his world, he began to do the same for them... And then the same for people he didn't quite know well, and then eventually the same for anyone he saw who looked sad or upset. He has grown into a playful and mischievous prince, but he is a good prince all the same.
