Clan Lore
Way back, before Mourner was brought into the world, the Caraphernelia clan was
formed by his parents, Asher and Luna. Pyrite joined the clan in it’s early days, and is still around today, keeping all the history of the clan in the clan’s library. It’s not very big, but it does the job. Slowly, but steadily, the clan began to grow as word about their intricate cottage-like den got out. Eventually the clan had to renovate their housing to accommodate their size and it became the chateau it is today.
Everything was running smoothly until their rival clan waged war upon them. This was around the time Luna’s clutch was ready to hatch. The only survivors of this war was mourner and pyrite. Before their deaths, Asher and Luna had left pyrite a list of instructions stating that Mourner would take over the clan and appointed pyrite the designated lore keeper. Pyrite built the library with what little space was left. Mourner managed to rebuild the clan back to its original size.
With the clan now running smoothly, Mourner is continuously making sure the clans hoard is fully stocked and protected by Mythos and Archer, and making sure that the clans warriors are ready to take on any threat to the clan, while also seeking new members.
The Caraphernelia clan prides itself on it’s accepting nature. Any dragon seeking a home is welcomed in the clan and provided for. The clan provides shelter for those who need it or would otherwise be exalted.

Mourner's Lore

The only survivor of his mother’s clutch, Mourner lost his parents to their rival clan when he was just a hatchling. The clan was left to him and he appointed Pyrite to be lore keeper. Alone in the chateau his parents built, Mourner sought to rebuild the clan to it’s original size. The size and beauty of the den attracted new members. He managed to grow the clan back to the original size and made sure each adult dragon had a job within the clan. Mourner was named by Pyrite after his parents' last request. Pyrite thought it fit since he had lost his siblings and parents. Mourner still keeps pictures of his parents and his clutch on the walls of the den. He can’t bring himself to take them down, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The other clan members seem to like it. Mourner makes sure the clan’s warriors are trained well to handle attacks on the clan. He created an intensive training plan for the warriors, and he holds them to it. This is all to prevent another war like the one that took his parents. Mourner spends his days roaming the clan's den, making sure everything is running smoothly, checking in on Pyrite and his records, and overseeing all requests from the clan members. |

The oldest dragon in the clan, Pyrite had been a part of the clan since its start, nearly 200 years ago. Pyrite spent his days keeping track of everything that happened in the clan in a, now beaten up, leather journal. This led to Mourner appointing him to be the clan’s lore keeper. Pyrite built the small library that the whole clan shares, after the war that took Mourner’s parents and siblings. Pyrite gave Mourner his name as his parents’ last request. Pyrite was the first ever dragon to join the clan when it originally started and plans to stay until the very end. Pyrite kept the same journal since he joined and still, to this day, major events, new members, everything has been recorded in it for safe keeping.If the clan was to somehow fall, someone would find the journal in the wreckage and know everything that happened. Pyrite spends his day maintaining the library, updating the lore book, and assisting Mourner in maintaining the clan’s status. |
