personality
Mako is the picture of a stereotypical friendly grandma. She loves to bake and spoil the hatchlings to gifts and toys and cuddles. She helps Tobii in the nursery as often as her old bones allow her to. She still likes to make deliveries, but only delivers to nearby Wind clans. She is soft spoken and very accepting of all walks of life, having seen and experienced much of the different world. Displays of intolerance get her worked up, and she will snap if she sees someone treating someone else as "lesser".

history

It had been a long, long time. Mako landed back in her native territory after being abroad for so long. She had seen - and done - so much in her life. After birth, she had left with the wind, as most wind hatchlings do, to explore. She only wishes that she had kept track of all the places that she had seen. One she knew that she would never forget - the clan of the Valley of the Lost had been her on-again, off-again home over the past three years. She had made many friends there, and had used the lair as a base camp for all of her other explorations - in exchange she had been a messenger for the clan, delivering all over the world. But she finally felt as if it was time to move on for good. So she lifted off, leaving a generous hoard to the clan that had hosted her for so long.

But where would she go? Where would she be able to settle down again, for good? A sharp wind drove her to the south. Of course, she thought, it's time to go home. The air was warm and clean as she drifted over the Zephyr Steppes - she relished the freedom of the wind beneath her wings. She scanned the landscape for a clan to join, before remembering her previous clan talk of a friendly clan in the Reedcleft Ascent. She drifted that way, hoping the clan would accept her as one of their own.

She still remembers the song her mother sang to her as a hatchling, as she began her long, long journey. She sings it now to the Wind, hoping it comforts lost hatchlings and those looking for homes alike.

Her familiar, a Wind Sprite, was given to her as a belated birthday present by her new clan, on the day that she arrived (which was a day after her birthday). Mako was ecstatic about her gift, which she promptly named Chinook.
