"What do you mean you've never seen a Fae actually fly before? Anyways, I'm Nyra, and if I'm not out catching insects, you can find me in the underground greenhouse tending the gardens.

Nyra is a child from the second nest ever had in the Fungal Fauna clan. She was energetic from the moment she hatched, and she's never been less energetic since. For a Fae, she is relatively large, and she usually makes this well known to draw attention away from her brother's much smaller and rather useless wings. She does this by flying with her own wings, impressing those around her, and by trying to sound as enthusiastic as her monotone voice can make her. While the older of the siblings, she is often seen as the little sister to the more mature Neo.

Nyra uses her flying skills to her advantage, leaving her to use a lot more magic than a normal Fae that flies with it. She often combines her frill movements with the creation of magical runes, often conveying emotion much better than her voice likely ever could. This also means that she can be quite a scout as well, hiding in shadows before signaling other members of the lair with her symbols. While she did have a similar problem with being exposed to the Plague environment, leading to her to grow 'bubbles' of mushroom spores from time to time, she's learned how to make it work for her. She set up an area to discard the spores after they are carefully removed from her, and the mushrooms and other fungus that grow in the area are edible, providing a decent food source for others.

She currently serves as an expert bug catcher, carrying the energy and excitement from her normal life into her task. She can often be seen teaching less-experienced catchers not only the techniques to catching insects, but also how to prepare them to be eaten should they be poisonous. Despite her normally messy way of eating (she loves playing with her food), she knows when to be formal, and is quite a polite guest should she need to be one.
