Biography

Adopted from the auction house in the early days of the clan's formation as the clan's first Snapper. Some may think the clan carried their mineral naming theme too far in this case, but there's more to the story. It's true that amethyst was the only stone the clan could think of when looking at him, but they were ready to discard the name as too feminine-sounding. When he heard the name being bandied about, he wanted to know what it meant, so they showed him examples of the stone in question. As soon as he had seen it, he himself insisted on the name. The clan tried to convince him that they should choose something else, because people might tease him for it. He declared he would stomp anyone who tried. And then he took it one further, and said he loved the name, and would stomp anyone who tried to call him anything else. At this point, everyone shrugged in that "What can you do?" kind of way, and said they should at least come up with a slightly more masculine-sounding ending. He assented to this, and thus the name "Amethystin" was born.
