SCAB: INNER CLAN - JOINT LEADER - MEDICAL SCIENTIST AND AMBASSADOR - SHE/HER

4ad3df26c14560d22c82a74cc87d2d1de016445a.jpg

The first dragon to find Fireshell. She is the most influential dragon in her clan. Scab is a scientist and specializes in dragon medicine. She is very technically-minded and excels in math. Her familiar serves as a symbol of her dominance in the clan, and helps her with labwork. He loves marmalade.

Scab has been lucky enough to defy all expectations put upon her. This is largely thanks to the support of her family. Although they were poor, they saw that from a young age, Scab would do well in tasks that require intelligence and finesse. She was sent to an all female draconic boarding school. This may have helped her in her studies, but it left her feeling isolated, and caused her to lose connection with her family. Much of her young adult life was spent doing her passion: working in a lab that only hired from her school.

Scab discovered Fireshell on a trip through the desert. Although she was looking for lab items in the next city over, she found the bright pink dragon instead. She saw that something was clearly wrong, as he seemed to be particularly confused, and rushed him back to her lab.

Over years of attempting to cure his memory loss, the two dragons became good friends. Scab was able to uncover Fireshell's history and find a cure for his memory, but the two dragons decided it was for the best that he stay as he was. They had already begun to establish their clan, and did not want any new memories complicating things.

Scab was never meant for parenthood, but does her best to make sure all of her dragons -- particularly her son, Fireshell II -- are accounted for. Clanhood was Fireshell's idea; many of Scab's lab assistants also encouraged them to form a clan to help them escape their exploitative work environment. Scab is the public face of her clan. For some reason, she sees a bit of herself in Fireshell, and knows he sees a bit of himself in her as well.

Scab's closest friend, Fireshell:
