Biography

"Why couldn't we have gotten a normal child..." Andrus grumbles, scowling at Ophelia as she draws a ritual circle on the floor of their den. Either she does not hear him, or does not acknowledge his presence, instead arranging the bones of various birds of prey into a roughly correct shape.
"Shush, don't let her hear you say such things!" Opal whispers. "She's just... eccentric! It's normal for kids to be obsessed with death. She'll probably grow out of it..."
He sighs. "Those fortune tellers had better stop enabling this behavior by giving her spare bones."
"Honey, it's just a silly hobby, let her-" she pauses as the ritual circle lights up. The bones begin pulling themselves together as Ophelia chants. Eventually, the skeletal bird staggers to its feet, confused. Opal turns back to Andrus, looking somewhat concerned. "I'll... talk to them about that tomorrow."
