An Unexpected Walkabout wrote:
Querquet (like "croquet") hatched Midspring. His parents had only nested so the hatchlings could be exalted to serve the Windsinger, but they figured without Querquet's curiosity! One morning early he followed a White Cabbage Moth out of the nest but lost track of it by the Hidden Falls. After a quick nap he spotted a Steppes Pincher and it led him downstream, past the Singing Brook, until he came to the beach. A Blue Footed Gull caught his eye, but his little legs couldn't keep up with its flight and he lost it over the horizon around sunset. He nibbled his way down a trail of Giant Kelp washed up on the sand and ended up near a pile of driftwood near the shoreline. The stars were out by now, so he climbed right to the top and fell asleep...

He awoke the next morning to find himself somewhere completely else! High tide had turned his little driftwood pile into a raft in the night and the currents had brought him west and tossed him up among the tidepools of the Tsunami Flats! At first he was understandably disoriented, that is until a Crystalplate Wasp caught his attention...
(Whew! That should get him within shouting distance of the Daylight Sanctum...)
