Often found within the realms of the Coliseum, Kangmin is used to finding himself being very busy. Whether it’s to keep up to date on the latest intel brought to Hanabusaya, or to train dragons, young and old, to fight and protect the clan, you’ll find him nearly everywhere within the clan. As Niki, his black cat, keeps him company as he runs the many errands he finds himself swamped in. However, he wouldn’t trade it for the world – finding that being part of the Hanabusaya and helping protect the clan is his priority and his comfort. As he would often tell his parents, and his fellow dragons – he’d rather be busy and swamped with tasks than be lazing around. When not running errands, or consulting with the Hanabusaya, he’s sometimes found relaxing in a high spot in the lair, sketching out outfits and drawing his fellow dragonkin. While he wouldn’t call himself the clan artist, he does admit that he is a bit of a fan of drawing – and his fellow members of the Hanabusaya support him in that venture. Being the head of intelligence in the Hanabusaya is a bit of a difficult job, he’ll admit. Lots of information to keep track of, making sure records are up to date – he’s grateful for his fellow dragonkin that have stepped up to the plate to help him out. To others, Kangmin is nothing short of a hardworking dragon that tends to put others before himself – and it’s a regular sight to see him being carried back by Woojin back to the den that he and the others reside in. requiring some form of assistance. Many worry about his wellbeing – but he reassures them that it’s not a problem, and that after some rest he’ll be right back at it. Siwoo thinks that Kangmin is too hard-working and doesn’t understand the notion of resting. But the rest of Hanabusaya all admire his tenacity, his determination, his efforts and his intelligence – for it brings them not only confidence but morale in continuing the job that they’d all agreed to take upon. .

From the moment I hatched out of my egg, I always wanted to serve in the clan – having a larger part in its operations. With great ambitions ahead of me, my parents warned me to keep my dreams civil – pssh, I said to them. They are pleasantly surprised and admit that they were wrong to tell me to not keep my dreams high.
The passion I have for being in the Hanabusaya…to protect my friends and family, the clan…it’s what drives me forward, just as the flames drive the forges that our clan is built upon. It is also perhaps these flames of ambition that is what drives the Hanabusaya – and the clan – to achieve better than we have before, to prosper further than we have previously. These flames of ambition, of passion, drive us forward – especially in our fight against the unknown, and the many enemies we have. For Flamecaller’s sake, I will make sure our clan is the best it can be – even if it means sacrificing my time and comfort to do so. |
