Aurelio hatched on the longest day of summer, when the sun was at its peak in the sky. Sought out by the Acolytes before he'd even hatched, he was raised with stories of the gods' Chosen, who was prophesied to rule over the Heartscar and bring it back to the gods' favor. "Aurelio, Golden One, the power in your blood is what we have sought for millenia," they would tell him, assuring him that he could be none other than the Chosen.

As time wore on, another hatchling was brought to the Acolytes, similar enough to the Prophecy of the Chosen and Aurelio himself to leave room for doubt. Many called the new child "imposter," others lauded him as a Second Chosen--but whatever doubts anyone had, the youngling had to be kin of their Chosen, and he was mostly treated as such.

He has not yet been made aware of his other brother's existence.

Aurelio has developed a bit of a god complex. He does, however, hold some measure of empathy for others, and he has treated Adamina as a beloved younger sibling since the day he arrived. Aurelio will take absolutely no guff, and he has chewed out every Acolyte who dared to even breathe the word "imposter" in his presence.
