A sassy and opinionated construct who communicates mostly in mechanical birdlike whistles, with the occasionally gear-grinding blart for emphasis, Artoo is Skywalker's constant companion. Not everyone understands his binary-based speech, but Skywalker is fluent. He chatters in response to his familiar's usually forthright and frequently rude commentary, and the Ancient Sanctum's hallowed halls are often filled with their playful back-and-forth arguments. Despite appearances, Artoo genuinely respects Skywalker: he is among the very few dragons he will accept orders from.
