emere's parents were bounty hunters. for her, all of that is just a game. when the plaguebringer went to war, strange things did happen. the magic was warped, and the plaguebringer granted lift to all manner of beast. the boneyard was already a hostile place. now it had monsters. twisted animals, not quite dragons. emere is the monster that hunts those monsters. oh her parents taught her to track, to fight, but what good was prey that was her equal match or lesser? what was the fun in catching something so easily? it made her coin, sure, but there was no drama in it. when the wastes were full of beasts, what good was it to be anything else? her magic was already a well stained apron; both her parents were wind, laying in the plaguebringer's domain. just a few modifications. just a few spines, a surplus of teeth. eyes on the back of her head. and then so she hunts. helping smaller clans with their monster problem is only a means to her goal. the singing in her blood when something twice her size swings at her, that's her real prize. her real prize is a new scar and a head to mount on a pike. she doesn't settle for long, chasing the next big catch, making a name for herself across the flights. she doesn't care about her reputation, doesn't care that every time she kills, she always ends up inheriting something from the prey. with every hunt, she becomes more the wolf.
