The Gardens of Eden - Gardens, for they exist as a somewhat liminal space, pockets of lush greenery secreted away all over the world - have always required guarding, and she bears the responsibility with pride. Since the Beginning, mortals and immortals alike have coveted its sacred fruits, its crystal waters; they gaze with greed upon its verdant meadows and cool, enveloping forests.

Not that the Gardens are meant to remain wholly untouched. This, truly, is Vinvertan's duty: to turn her own eyes upon those who approach, and to judge whether to let them venture within. Only the pure of heart may partake of the Gardens' bounty and gain the gifts of health and knowledge and vigor it offers. But such fruits tempt many a soul with darker purpose, and it is these who Vinvertan raises blade and teeth and claw against, in ever-vigilant defense of her divinely granted sanctuary.

Most of Vinvertan's fellow angels spend little time on the mortal plane; Lethieri's habit of exploring it to its fullest means he happens upon her Gardens fairly frequently. She's amused by his antics, at least, even if she prefers not to grant him admittance.

Sonnet's work in spells and potions could no doubt benefit from ingredients from the Gardens they've heard described in legend and rumor, but as yet they've not found a path to them. Vinvertan watches her closely nonetheless, wary of such a powerful caster.

Vinvertan's abundance of eyes let her maintain a constant watch on the Gardens, alert to any intruders approaching.

To avoid the mess of combat disturbing the Gardens, Vinvertan can instead subdue her foes with an enchanting scent that leaves them woozy, sleepy, and distracted enough to expel them without difficulty.
