Maya

As a hatchling, Maya was bitter about her less vibrant plumage compared to her siblings. She shied away from others and preferred to be left alone. The reason for her dull coloured wings was her dormant dark magic abilities, which would later be awakened down the bloodline in her mage twins Morgaine and Merlin. Calanis, her youngest son, is the only comfort she has of any good in her lineage.

She blames herself for what she believes to be "cursing" her two children with dark magic abilities, though the two would beg to differ.

Haku was the first dragon in the clan to approach her, often letting the then tiny Maya sit upon his head while the larger dragon went about doing his errands. The two could sit in long periods of silence comfortably, simply enjoying each other's company without words. Slowly she began to open up to him and interacted with the other dragons more.
